County Administrative Office/General Services
1. Adopt a resolution proclaiming the existence of a Local Emergency due to widespread and increasing tree mortality in Tulare County. Direct the Department to return every 30 days to confirm the ongoing need for a local emergency declaration.
2. Take action on one of the following options or decline to take action and provide direction to staff on any alternative: Option 1: Approve the Joint Powers Agreement between Fresno, Kings, Madera, Merced, and Tulare counties creating the San Joaquin Valley Water Infrastructure Authority. Option 2: Express support of the Joint Powers agreement between Fresno, Kings, Madera, Merced, and Tulare counties creating San Joaquin Water Infrastructure Authority and suggest amendments to be incorporated into the agreement with said amended agreement to be brought back for approval at a later date.
