NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC

Background information has been provided to the board on all matters listed under the Consent Agenda, and these items are considered to be routine by the Board.  All items under the Consent Agenda are normally approved by one motion.  If discussion is requested by any Board members on any item, that item will be removed from the Consent Agenda if separate action is required.

 

Board of Supervisors

3.               Appoint Alexandria Vander Poel, Resource Management Agency to the Health Advisory Committee for a term ending February 1, 2020.

4.               Cancel the Board of Supervisors meeting for May 2, 2017.

County Administrative Office/General Services

5.               Approve sealed proposals to lease 15,316 square feet of useable and 16,725 square feet of rentable office space in the Tulare Akers Professional Center, located at 5300 W. Tulare Ave., Visalia, will be received and considered by the Board on March 28, 2017 at 9:00 a.m.  Authorize the County Administrative Officer, or his designee, to publish the Notice of Intent to Lease Real Property once a week for three consecutive weeks pursuant to Government Code §25350 and §6063. Approve the lease terms and selection process.

6.               Approve an increase to the Capital Projects budget for Fiscal Year 2016/2017 in an amount not to exceed $5,723 for the Porterville Government Plaza Paint and Carpet Improvement Projects. Approve the necessary budget adjustment (4/5ths vote required).

District Attorney

7.               Approve an agreement with Vanguard University Global Center for Women and Justice in an amount not to exceed $24,000, retroactive to November 8, 2016 through September 30, 2019.  Find that the Board had authority to enter into the proposed agreement as of November 8, 2016, and that it was in the County's best interest to enter into the agreement on that date.

9.               Approve an amendment to Agreement No. 27760 to increase the original contract amount by $95,000 for additional construction phase services for the Monson Community Well & Water System Project.

10.           Approve an amendment to Agreement No. 26942 with ARCADIS U.S., Inc. for environmental consulting services at the Visalia landfill to increase the amount by $95,496 to $1,248,596, retroactive to January 1, 2016. Find that the Board had authority to enter into the proposed agreement as of January 1, 2016, and that it was in the County’s best interest to enter into the agreement on that date.  Approve the necessary budget adjustments (4/5ths vote required).
