NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC

Background information has been provided to the board on all matters listed under the Consent Agenda, and these items are considered to be routine by the Board.  All items under the Consent Agenda are normally approved by one motion.  If discussion is requested by any Board members on any item, that item will be removed from the Consent Agenda if separate action is required.

 

 

 

Board of Supervisors

2.                  Reappoint Robert Moore to the Tulare Public Cemetery District for a term ending January 2011.

3.                  Appoint Ronald E. Bosetti to the Treasury Oversight Committee, Public Member position.

County Counsel

4.                  Approve changes in Designated Positions and Disclosure Categories in the County Conflict of Interest Code as recommended by County departments and agencies.  Approve a new list of Disclosure Categories for positions designated in the County Code, to become effective for the 2008 Biennial Review of the County's Conflict of Interest Code.

5.                  Approve the Conflict of Interest Codes for the following agencies:  Alpaugh JPA; Burton School District; Citrus South Tule Elementary School District; Exeter Union High School District; Goshen Community Services District; Hot Spring School District; Housing Authority of the County of Tulare; Indian Gaming Local Benefit Committee; Ivanhoe Memorial District; Kaweah Delta Hospital District; Lemon Cove Sanitary District; Liberty Elementary School District; Lindsay Local Hospital District; Oak Valley Union School District; Ponderosa Community Services District; Three Rivers Memorial District; Tulare City School District; Tulare County Employees Retirement Association; Tulare Veterans Memorial District; and Visalia Public Cemetery District.

County Administrative Office

6.                  Approve and ratify the County Administrative Officer's delegated actions regarding Contracts and Personnel Changes for the months of January and February 2007.

Human Resources & Development

7.                  Authorize the purchase of Service Awards to be awarded in 2007 from O.C. Tanner to recognize employees who have completed 10 or more years of continuous service.

Resource Management Agency

8.                  Affirm the Annual Orosi Bike Race to be held on March 24, 2007 near the Community of Orosi.

9.                  Approve the Final Map for Phase 2 of Subdivision Tract No. 757, located 1300 feet north of Avenue 408, in Orosi.  Approve an agreement with Self-Help Enterprises to complete all required public improvements for Phase 2 of Subdivision Tract No. 757.  Approve an agreement with Self-Help Enterprises for the installation of streetlights within Subdivision Tract No. 757.

10.             Approve a Tot Lot Project at Mooney Grove Park.  Approve the application for a First 5 Grant in the amount of $39,393 to cover 60% of the Project.  Approve the application for the Proposition 40 Per Capita Grant in the amount of $26,262 to cover 40% of the Project.

11.             Presentation given by the County Librarian regarding the Jail House Rocks Program.

12.             Request from Resource Management Agency to authorize staff to pursue CALTRANS Aeronautics Capital Improvement Program (CIP) funding to update the Tulare County Comprehensive Airport Land Use Plan for public use airports included in the 2007 Aeronautics Program as adopted by the California Transportation Commission.  Certify the availability of the County's 10% matching funds.
