NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC

Background information has been provided to the board on all matters listed under the Consent Agenda, and these items are considered to be routine by the Board.  All items under the Consent Agenda are normally approved by one motion.  If discussion is requested by any Board members on any item, that item will be removed from the Consent Agenda if separate action is required.

 

 

 

County Administrative Office

4.                  Ratify actions taken by the County Administrative Officer during the month of September 2011 regarding Personnel/Payroll Changes and Good Works Funding Agreements.

5.                  Waive the second reading and adopt an Uncodified Ordinance adjusting the boundaries of the supervisorial districts, and repealing the 2001 Ordinance, including appropriate findings.  Direct the Clerk to publish the Ordinance after adoption as required by law.

District Attorney

6.                  Approve the Grant Award Agreement with the California Emergency Management Agency for the Unserved/Underserved Victim Advocacy and Outreach Program in the amount of $125,000, with a $31,250 match, retroactive to October 1, 2011 through September 30, 2012.  Find that the Board had authority to enter into the proposed agreement as of October 10, 2011, and that it was in the County's best interest to enter into the agreement on that date.

General Services

7.                  Approve the amendment to Lease Agreement No. 22449 between the County of Tulare and George A. Mollis and Margaret A. Mollis, Trustees of the George A. Mollis and Margaret A. Mollis Trust under declaration of trust dated December 23, 1983 and George A. Mollis and Ron A. Mollis for office space located at 20389 Avenue 360, Woodlake.

Information & Communications Technology

8.                  Approve the renewal with Syncsort in the amount of $160,000 to provide license and support for the Syncsort backup system, retroactive to September 28, 2011 through September 27, 2012.  Find that the Board had authority to enter into the proposed renewal as of September 28, 2011, and that it was in the County's best interest to enter into the renewal on that date.

Resource Management Agency

9.                  Approve Program Supplement No. N054 to Administering Agency-State Agreement for Federal-Aid Projects No. 06-5946R for funding the construction of the Avenue 416 at Road 80 Intersection Improvements project.

10.             Approve a modification to Purchasing Public Works Agreement No. 5808 with Halopoff and Sons, Inc. for street improvements for Washington Avenue north side between State Street and Church Street Project to allow the Purchasing Agent to exceed the 10% change order amount by $4,620.15.  Authorize the Purchasing Agent to execute all necessary documents.

11.             Authorize the submission of grant applications for funding from Proposition 84, Section 75022, Small Community Infrastructure Improvements for Chemical and Nitrate Contaminants for Seville Water Company and Yettem Water Zone of Benefit in the amount of $598,000.

12.             Proclaim November 2011 as Court Adoption and Permanency Month in Tulare County.
